Style Award wins at The Class 4 5f Lingfield under Richard Hughes. This tough filly ran her first race on an All Weather surface and after a 4 month Winter break but she won impressively by 3 lenghths. This takes her tally to 4 wins from 13 runs and she has only been out of the first 4 once. This also continues the yards run of winners and we are looking forward to the start of the Turf Season.

Gallops
We have a 6 1/2 furlong woodchip gallop which runs parallel to the main drive to Bolton Hall and then sweeps righthanded . The gallop climbs for the last 3 1/2 furlongs which helps build strength and stamina.

We also have a selection of grass gallops and paddocks for exercising.
We have grass gallops on a gradient and on the level. We also have plans
for another all weather gallop in the future.
We have a wide choice of routes to and from the gallops and many are through
forest rides and tracks which helps horses relax and keeps their work
varied.

Starting Stalls
We have a private secure schooling paddock where we have our starting stalls located. This is an essential part of a young horses education and having the private schooling area allows us to quietly introduce them to the stalls and develop their racing instincts. We also keep more experienced horses sharp with stalls training when required. This paddock also contains schooling jumps and hurdles

Paddocks
We have over 15 acres of paddocks. Each paddock is secure
and many have high traditional stone walls. One paddock actually contains
a number of circular stone stallion pens. In deed the great horse and
stallion Hyperion was moved to one of these pens during the war. His lad
lived with him in the side chamber of the pen. One paddock will be used
as a schooling paddock.
We like to turn out horses regularly and also have a small turnout paddock
at the entrance to our yard for short turnouts and giving horses a pick
of grass.

Covered Horsewalker
We have just had a new Claydon Horsewalker fitted. This has been built with both the inner and outer walls being rubber lined for optimum protection from injury. It has also been fitted with maximum grip cushion floor which is the latest specification surface to reduce impact on joints and prevent slipping.

Stables
The stable yards is a beautiful traditional fromer coachyard. The boxes
are typically large with a selection of internal but mainly external boxes.
The front yard looks out past Bolton Hall across to Middleham Moor. The
rear yard is more sheltered and again has good sized boxes. All boxes,
where required, are in the process of redecoration.

Security
Security is a priority. The yard and perimeter is covered by remote wireless
CCTV which is recorded at all times. New improved security lighting has
been fitted.
Forest Rides and Jumping
Lanes
The yard is set on part of an extensive country estate and this means
we have access to a huge selection of private forest tracks and rides.
We are able to take varied routes to and from the exercise area. Tracks
also run alongside the river which runs through the estate. Overall this
gives the ideal setting to relax horses and give them variety. This can
be the key to some horses that have not flourished in a more routined
training environment.

Horsebox
We have invested in our own new horsebox The main advantage to owners in relation to costs is that because we have our own transport we can make sure owners are charged less than using external transport companies. This also reduces the risk of horses contracting viruses from horses from other yards.

Local facilities in Middleham
We are only 1 1/2 miles from Middleham. Middleham has many facilities
such as training grounds, veterinary expertise, equine pool etc. The training
grounds are on Middleham High and Low Moors. These include grass and all
weather gallops, schooling fences/hurdles and starting stalls.
